Interesting so think it’s safe to say my Bose quiet comfort 35 II should also work then?
Yes we tested this headphone (though the QC35 mk I and not mk II).
Hi,
When I connect my headset plantronic Backbeat pro 410 in Bluetooth, the sound is jerky. Even on Netflix or video from my hard drive.
Can you help please?
Thanks
When the “jerky” sound starts, please do this test to see if it helps - take out the battery from the AirMote, wait a few minutes and see if it fixes the problem. Let us know how it goes. Thanks.
OK. Here’s an update. So I have been using my brand new shiny Sony WH-1000MX3 Bluetooth headphones to watch MP4 movies via the VLC Player over the last 3 days. About 4 hours on firmware v1.0.26 and 4.5 hours on v1.0.27. Total 3 Bluetooth devices simultaneously connected to the PPMax - Sony WH-1000MX3, AirMote and Alcatraz Xplorer Dock2 keyboard. Zero issues. Perfect audio sync. Very good soundstage and bass. What a joy to use!
The Sony WH-1000XM3 are really good aren’t they?
Yes, really good. Enjoying my movies so much more with it. Thank you
Hi,
I just received picopix max yesterday. So was excited to set it all up. The initial experience was great when I was playing some YouTube with inbuilt audio. But the problem starts when I pair it with my bose soundbar via bluetooth. There is audio lag. I have been reading this thread and I see it works well after unpairing the remote. I will give that a try as a work around. I also wanted to know if PPM allows me to airplay audio to my soundbar ? My soundbar supports airplay.
Cheers!
Instead of unpairing just remove the remote batteries temporarily.
And no, the PPM doesn’t support AirPlay out to other devices as far as I know.
You can install a free app from Aptoide called “AirServer Connect”, this will let you AirPlay from picopix to another device.
I have the same issue. It always starts after several minutes into the playback (no matter YouTube or Netflix). Trying the method of removing remote batteries for now. Hope the problem could be solved in the new update.
Yes, removing one battery is the easiest interim solution right now. So much so that I’m leaving the battery cover of the AirMote opened permanently for the time being.
@Philips_Support_P, I hope this Bluetooth issue will be fixed in the next update.
It didn’t really work with my PPM by removing the battery of the AirMote.
My sound bar is Yamaha YAS209. Don’t think it’s the issue of the sound bar.
Do you have any other Bluetooth devices you can test with, speakers, headphones perhaps?
Tried amazon echo show 5, seems to experience very similar issue.
Last night, I watched two movies (Outbreak and Contagion) with PPMax playing MP4 files with VLC Player. I can say for a fact that with AirMote and JBL Flip 5 Bluetooth speaker connected, the audio lag will slowly creep in after few minutes. Once I dislodge one battery from the AirMote, the audio will sync up again within couple of minutes.
Edit: This scenario happened many times throughout the two movies because I often had to put back the battery so that I can pause the movie for me to go get beer, snacks, toilet, etc. Then sometimes I forgot to dislodge the battery until I start to notice the audio lag.
You should tape the battery to your beer glass so as to not forget.
Another issue I just discovered was when I connect Nintendo Switch and PS using HDMI cable to PPM, the sound is not played through Bluetooth connected sound bar but directly via PPM.
Is there any walkaround for this? Or do I need to go for the wired option for sound bar?
It’s hardware limitation of PPM.
The workaround is to send bluetooth sound directly from your source, in your case the Switch (if capable).
I discovered that the walkaround is to use a HDMI splitter (audio extractor). Just ordered one to test.
