I’ve recently started getting problems trying to play videos on Amazon Prime. Any film I play starts showing the images only in green and pink pixels. The audio works, and other apps such as bbc iplayer and Netflix work fine, it’s only the amazon prime app.
Any ideas what the cause for this could be and how to fix it? Stopping and starting the ppx used to fix this before, but in the last 2 weeks, that hasn’t helped in any way.
I’ve recently updated to SW 1.2.1 and I experience a similar problem with VLC. The playback is mainly b&w with pink/green/blue spots. This even happens to video files which previously played fine.
The VLC one is super annoying. It only happens when using hardware accelerator which is sadly needed for smooth playback. @Philips_Support_N when will this be fixed?!
Hello @Philips_Support_P,
I have also the same problem with VLC and this is due to hardware acceleration. It was working fine before the upgrade. Do you have more info regarding this issue ?
@Philips_Support_N@IvoGrijt@Philips_Support_P@Philips_Support_T Hi Everyone. No response from Philips at all in two months? Really? Could you please at least acknowledge that there is an issue connected with hardware acceleration after the last firmware update? Are you about to address it in the next update? Thanks.
Exactly the same here! The problem has been there ever since the older firmware and VLC 3 beta version. It only take a few clicks for Philip to reproduce the issue at their end…
I wonder why only a handful of users echo to this post given that VLC is such a popular player on the market.
@Philips_Support_P does anyone in the engineering team could acknowledge this problem? It would be good to know that you are working on a fix, or at least that you are investigating.
Forgive me, but this is really shameful that no one bothered to respond with even a short message. Four months after the original inquiry still no official answer. Really? @Philips_Support_N@Philips_Support_P@IvoGrijt
I have the same problem and i have the feeling is getting even worse.
Sometimes the video stops, but the sound is still playing.
I have to start the app twice to be logged in.
I tried amazon video via tablet and mirrorcast. The userinterface is crystalclear, but the video isn’t running. Just the sound again.
I have the bad feeling that amazon is blocking videos that are tried to be watched over such devices. No idea what to to. It becomes really frustrating to watch amazon video.
