Playing from iOS with a lightning to USB-C cable?

Don’t have my device yet, so can’t try for myself.

I was just wondering if the Apple USB-C to lightning cable would support playing/mirroring from an iOS device directly.

Does the PPM just present itself as an external HDMI device? If so, I guess it would do the same with a USB-C to USB-C cable from a MacBook?

I can confirm it doesn’t work, you just get a big no signal display, all it can do is charge your iPhone , think the apple digital av adapter will work with a HDMI cable.
