used may ppx620 yesterday and the gears icon to open settings is gone!
There is only the battery icon and the clock in the upper right home screen corner.
How can I get my settings menu back?
Did I (or my kids who used it last) activate some kind of hotel/kiosk mode?

Try swiping down from the top to access the quick settings panel and tap the gear icon.
If that doesn’t work, open your app drawer, find the Settings app, and drag it to your home screen.
