I’m absolutely sure it does!

Ça fait un paquet de monde plus à l’aise en français qu’en anglais!
Why is NONE of the questions related to delivery to European non-EU countries like Switzerland or Norway answered by Philips? You answer almost every question related to any other topic (which I appreciate!) so you could tell us at least what your plans are.
I have no big issue with the delays in general and I also understand that individual batches can’t be spread over too many countries, but the delivery should IMHO still be somehow in the order of backing.
So, Philips, could you please at least give us a flavor of your plans? Thanks!
As you say, they answer, so when they don’t, no answer is the answer. It’s scary to consider, but they probably don’t know yet. Someone is still figuring something out.
This has actually be answered. The list that was shown where only the EU countries that are in the curremt eu batch. After CNY the second factory will be opened. Then the speed of production will increase. So at this time they cant make an estimation of when it will be sent. However it will be in an EU batch but not in the current one
I’m backer #4041 in the UK, but my status still shows up as pending shipment:
DHL still only shows that Philips have given them the address - not that they have received them.
How did you send them to Europe?
If it was by plane they would have arrived and been scanned by now.
When I use couriers I get the tracking number straight away - that’s before I’ve even had it collected so this is no different… Have they actually been sent, and if so by what method?
So far if they are to be believed they were sent 5-6 days ago.
And before the sycophants answer for Philips - it’s no use blaming the couriers if they havent received the goods yet. If they shipped by air which they said they were - DHL would have received them by now.
It has been some days with tracking numbers from DHL, but nothing registered on the shipment… @Philips_Support_N Did DHL pick up the packages yet?
I hope to be home to receive the package, but it is hard to judge when they might deliver if they don’t update the status page
Same status for everyone
I imagined so, I’m just curious as to whether they actually picked up the parcels already or if they are still waiting for the truck to pick them up (as in where is the delay).
According to the DHL website, we can’t do anything until next tuesday.
If the shipment status has not changed for more than 6 working days, you can request an investigation. If you are the recipient of the shipment, we recommend that you first consult with the sender of the shipment. This generally results in a quick fix for you.
I get your point about it being pre-sales. Plenty of other projects are similar, like the ones Nebula does on kickstarter. It doesn’t really change the fact that it is done through the crowdfunding model though. Furthermore, what is different from normal presale, is that the company actually takes in feedback and works it into the product before shipment, and even during shipment, as we see with the updates. We are also getting a lot of project updates about the proces, which is not something you get from pre-sales either. All of this is common of crowdfunding projects, and it is obvious that some people treat this completely like a pre-sale and with all the expectations of such, but also expect all of the pros of a crowdfunding project without any of the cons.
Another thing - I am uncertain that you can actually call this a project by Philips truly. Now anyone correct me if I am wrong here - but if you read this article on yahoo, I understand that this product is developed by the company Screeneo Innovation, who has a mother company “POWER DATA Holding SA”. Now Screeneo has acquired the global rights to use the PHILIPS brand. Furthermore it states:
While PHILIPS will license its brand to SCREENEO for the range of products stated above, SCREENEO will design, manufacture, sell and provide customer support. SCREENEO will exclusively manage all sales and distribution and serve as a global distributor of new PHILIPS-branded Pico Projector, Ultra Short Throw Projectors, and Digital Receivers along with a wide distribution network.
So based on that, it seems clear that Philips basically is only involved by providing its branding (which definitely worked - I doubt the project would have had so many backers without the Philips name). I assume of course that there are some quality standards/requirements that Screeneo has to live up to, in order to use the branding. But I don’t think you can expect that Philips resources are used in making the product
I’ve googled on this. Seems a common thing with DHL. It appears that it doesnt always update until its getting delivered.
you’re not Europe
Sure he is. Even if not EU.
I think we will start seeing progress here, when the package arrives in Germany. Maybe they’re using an other logistics partner from China to Germany.
@Philips_Support_N : If I have a tracking message saying not other update than “The instruction data for this shipment have been provided by the sender to DHL electronically”, do I need to send you a PM to get my real tracking number ?
Thank you for your efforts until now, keep up the good work !
The status is the same for all of us.
That’s the state for everyone. If you input the postal code and it doesn’t say it’s wrong, you likely have the right tracking number.
I was joking. Bantering with brexit.
we are checking why there is this status. Maybe waiting to get on the flight… sometimes DHL tracking is even updating when the parcel is already in Germany…
There backend is weird sometimes
So the EU batch hasn’t arrived in Germany yet?
